Contract negotiations are underway!

After winning our union election in 2022, surveying Santa Clara University adjunct faculty and lecturers on their priorities, and electing our bargaining team, we entered negotiations with the university’s administration for our first union contract. The first bargaining session was held on January 26, 2023; to date, we have had 29 bargaining sessions to date.

Our priorities for our first contract include:

Improved job security
Fair salary increases
Consistent hiring and renewal timelines
Clear and consistent promotional criteria
Improved diversity, equity, and inclusion
Antiracist initiatives and practices
Support for underrepresented students
Protections against discrimination, harassment, and retaliation
