We have a TA!

After winning our union election in 2022, surveying Santa Clara University adjunct faculty and lecturers on their priorities, and electing our bargaining team, we entered negotiations with the university’s administration for our first union contract. The first bargaining session was held on January 26, 2023; to date, we had 33 bargaining sessions.

On Saturday, April 27, our SEIU 1021 Bargaining Team reached a tentative agreement with SCU to settle on a new contract! After 16 months of bargaining, and thanks to the hard work of our bargaining team, we have reached a tentative agreement with SCU on our contract. This historic contract is our first with SCU as a union!
